It’s Saturday evening, our buserelin injection was administered at 5.30pm, and two hours later, we were instructed to do the trigger. The trigger is an elaborate looking needle – which basically, stressed me out!View Post
The last progress scan showed up 14 follicles in the room. Somehow, due to a bit of confusion between nurses, it appeared that 16 follicles were plotted. They sent me away with a prescription of carbergoline and we waited on a blood test that came back clear later that day.
The night of day 24/morning of day 25 I felt as though I was ovulating. Luckily, scans have showed I haven’t – and apparently it’s quite normal to feel that way at this point in the process. The follicle count is now at 14 (although the clinic only plotted 13).
The nurse checks out my womb lining to make sure it’s thickening appropriately, and takes the first follicle count. Has the dose of the menopur worked successfully?
We take a minute to regroup and breathe ahead of progress scan week. We’re booked in for early morning scans to monitor follicle growth on Monday, Wednesday and Friday ahead of egg collection on Monday 30th July.
